Dansko Paisley

I almost didn't order this shoe because I thought the sole might be too thick, and I wanted to feel close to the ground. That concern was ill-founded. The shoe is solid, not soft like other fabric shoes that quickly stretch out and loose its grip on my foot. The rounded toe box fits my wider foot: I initially ordered the wide size but returned it for the regular width. I love the leather. The Vibram sole grips the ground perfectly.

The shoe laces up nicely and opens up easily, unlike other shoes I have that required me to loosen the laces in several places before getting the shoe off. The footbed fits my arch perfectly, so I don't need to buy shoe inserts. Great shoe.

I've been wearing Dansko Paisley shoes for 10 years. I purchased my first pair from the Freeport, ME Walking Company store in 2016 in preparation for a one-month trip through England, Wales, and Scotland. I told the saleswoman I needed waterproof walking shoes that would manage March weather. She encouraged me to take a pair of black Paisleys home and try them out for two weeks and return them if I wasn't thrilled with them. I returned in two weeks to thank her and tell her she was absolutely brilliant. My Dansko Paisleys have walked me through England, Wales, Scotland, France, Italy, and many states. I have two replacement knees and a replaced hip. Dansko Paisley gives me the support and sure footing I need. Ever since an accident, one foot is tough to fit and find comfort. Too often I’m ordering wide width to try to accommodate it, resulting in ill-fitting footwear. Forget about “cute.” When I opened these I thought for a moment I had been sent a size smaller. They fit perfectly, have great support, and are incredibly comfortable. Bonus they look cute!
