We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchases from The Walking Company. If you are not happy with your purchase we will be happy to accept a return or exchange in most cases. You can return unworn shoes purchased for regular-price or on sale for up to 30 days from the date received with the following exceptions:
For all FINAL CLEARANCE merchandise please note:
All clearance items bought ONLINE can be exchanged or returned for store credit only by shipping them back to our warehouse. All final sale items purchased AT A STORE are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned for exchange or store credit.
Shoes must be in the condition you received them and in the original box. Returns and/or exchanges must be accompanied by your original sales receipt.
Normal or abnormal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturers defect. If you believe there is a defect with the merchandise, please contact our Customer Service department about returning or replacing your shoes.
You can return purchases by mail to The Walking Company by following the directions on the return/exchange form included with your order or by calling our Customer Service department at 1-800-642-9265. To return or exchange product purchases in any of our nationwide stores simply bring your items, a packing slip or copy of your shipping confirmation email, or your store receipt along with your ID and the credit card used for the purchase to The Walking Company location nearest you.
Credit Card purchases will be credited to the original purchase credit card account.
Cash and Check purchases over $100 - a check will be issued and mailed from our corporate office within 15 business days of the item being received by The Walking Company.
PayPal purchases will be credited to the original purchasing account.
Purchases paid by check below $100 may not be returned for cash until 10 days after the purchase.
For all "buy one, get one" promotions, customers returning purchased items will forfeit any discounts applied to the transaction.
Shipping charges are not refunded for return items.
For unworn merchandise returned without receipt, we will offer an exchange or store credit at the lowest selling price within the last 30 days.
We cannot accept returns of final clearance or special-order items.

- Send your package back using label sent with your purchase or the shipper of your choice. Insure the package for the full value of the merchandise. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for returns lost/damaged in transit. Keep your shipping receipt until your account is credited or you receive a refund check if you paid by check or money order. You will be required to cover the cost of return shipping.

Returning a Gift
When returning a gift for refund, at this time, The Walking Company is only able to provide the refund directly to the purchaser of the gift.
Certificates or Offer Codes
Items purchased with any The Walking Company certificate or offer code may result in an adjusted refund amount. Certificates and offers will not be reissued or recredited for returns.
Under our returns policy, pending inspection, The Walking Company can accept returns for most merchandise for up to 30 days from the date you receive it, and we will be pleased to issue a refund of your purchase price minus all shipping and order processing fees, which are not refundable.

If you choose to use our return label, there will be a $10.00 shipping charge deducted from your return. There is no charge for self-returned items.
