I walk a lot - probably about 5 miles a day minimum on paved roads, sidewalks, and groomed trails. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box and I appreciated the zipper feature so I could easily get in and out without retying my laces. I wore them hiking up a 1000' hill in the rain with no issue. My only complaint - after about 500 miles, miles soles are really worn and I need to replace them. I think they're a great casual shoe, but not meant for the kinds of use I put them through.
