I got these for winter wear. I normally wear the professional clog for work, but wanted something for winter. I take the train to work and choose to stand on the train commute rather than sit because the seats are nasty. Standing for 2.5 hours a day on a moving train while carrying a heavy backpack can be hard on my knees, feet, and back. I found the Dansko clog style to offer the foot support I need so that I can stand without pain. These boots feel like the professional clog to me, but with more support at the ankles so I find them easier to walk in to/from the train to the office. I find the fit to be similar in the foot region like the professional and they are comfortable for standing and the 10-minute walk to/from the train. I think they look nice. These feel like a boot version of the professional clog for me. The leather does seem to be softer--I guess since it's a boot. I appreciate the side zipper for easy on-off. Only thing I don't like are the laces since they have some slip and I have to double-knot so they don't become undone. I may switch to different laces later.
