I have three pairs; they're multi-years old (I'm thrilled to buy new ones) and still comfortable, cool, and quick dry. Sometimes I wear socks with them and sometimes I don't. They're that great. My only issue is that I've gone through so many insoles. But, they're replaceable. In early Sept 2020 and 2021, I wore them in Arches National Park (it was 98 degrees) while hiking up to the Delicate Arch. My feet were never hot nor did they slip on the glassy-smooth rocks leading up to the arch. Plus, I was stylish (Southern-style - Mary Jane Propet shoes, golf skort (yes, I play), polo shirt, golf umbrella, and hat (I have red hair). I got compliments and comments (on the umbrella - I was the only person with one). Then I visited Zion NP and wore my Mary Jane Propet up into the Narrows. Again, I didn't slip or slide but got lots of compliments on my stylish and very comfortable Mary Janes. No, I didn't look like everyone else who seemed to have stepped right out of REI, and instead, looked like someone who had a mind of her own-someone who loves comfortable Propet shoes.
